Dear Members and Friends of the Miami Chapter,
My journey as an organist in Miami has been driven by a singular, enduring passion: to cultivate and sustain a vibrant, thriving organ culture in our beautiful city. Since my days studying organ performance right here at Florida International University, I have envisioned a community where the King of Instruments not only resonates through our sanctuaries and halls but actively inspires the next generation of musicians and listeners.
Today, we are living in the midst of a remarkable renaissance for our local organ landscape. Over the past four years alone, our community has proudly celebrated the inauguration of three magnificent new instruments. This momentum is only continuing to build, and I am thrilled to share that a highly anticipated fourth instrument will be inaugurated this fall. These milestones are a profound testament to the dedication, generosity, and deep love for sacred and concert music that exists right here in South Florida.
To match this incredible momentum, your Board of Directors is elevating our commitment to you. We will be meeting on a monthly basis to meticulously plan and execute programs designed to deeply engage our membership. Our initiatives will be firmly focused on three core pillars: comprehensive educational opportunities, inspiring performance events, and dynamic outreach for musicians and non-musicians alike to ensure the future of our craft remains bright.
